You mean some reason like the cost of manufacturing, shipping, licensing, etc, and having a portion of the proceeds going to the publisher and retail or online distributors?
If it is a digital download then things like shipping shouldn't enter into it when comparing online PC to online xbox.
I get some increase depending on vendor. For instance the cost on steam the cost is slightly cheaper then GOG.
And sure there may be a whole lot of new stuff on the EE, but PC users are getting all of that for free, where as console users are not only having to buy it again if they want it on their prefered platform, but they are paying twice the price for that platform. A slight increase is fine but it is a pretty huge jump.
This also creates a dilemma for someone like myself who wants to support D:OS 2 but prefers to play on console. Part of me would love to sponsor D:OS 2 and hopefully if it is successful like the first one it will be converted to console. On the other hand part of me thinks why should I pay to establish the PC version, if I am just going to have to pay considerably more for the xbox version some time down the line?
