So finally got home from work and jumped on the game...Loaded up, made my profile, started a single campaign...and then watched the load screen for 5min of it not moving at all. Obviously something was wrong so i restarted steam. Problem persisted. So I restarted everything (my entire machine)...same deal. So I uninstalled the game entirely and re-installed it...same problem, it seems to get stuck at the loading screen with the load bar completely empty...

Anyone else having this problem?

Same problem here, I waited 15 minutes then I decided to reinstall but the problem remains.

Edit: If I try to "Join" a game, I also have a message telling me that the game failed to initialize the network while my connection is fine, I don't know if it is the same problem or not.

same thing for me as well...this is really frustrating, I want to play this game but I have no idea what's causing the load freeze...sigh.

I read somewhere that cutting your connection should work, but it doesn't for me.

Yeah tried that as well as loading up steam in offline mode. I also uninstalled DoS vanilla just in case there were some issues. No progress as of yet.

I had this problem myself, and I've finally found a solution that worked for me.

Open a command prompt (cmd), you might have to run as administrator, and type in "netsh winsock reset" and press enter.

That's it, you should be able to start new games and join online games now.

Hope this helps other people, because I was searching on and off for 2 days trying to find a solution.
