it seems like it's not possible to use the ingame chat if you play with a gamepad. It would be great if that would be possible in the future, I miss the possibility to use the ingame chat.

In general, it would be cool if you could switch between gamepad and keyboard + mouse while playing. Right now you're forced to use one of both, but you can't use both at the same time. As example I would like to use the gamepad for inventory managing and so on, but would like to use keyboard + mouse for something else.

I love the game and most of the new changes, that point has been bothering me.

I found that it hindered coop play greatly..Having to shift-tab and go to steam to chat all the time. Not exactly very immersive.

I would put my money on they are expecting you to use a voice chat app if your going to use a game pad. Seems the I/O device would determine the UI.

Yeah, I guess that is likely...but for example the two persons I would play this with: One is deaf and the other I've been gaming with for many years, but they are uncomfortable with voice chat.

Now I'm conscious that not everyone is in a situation like I am, but still. It would be really nice if they added a way to chat in a future update, all I'm asking is that the option be considered at least .

Sometimes I can't use or don't want to use voice chat while playing with a friend. I really hope that they are going to fix this, it shouldn't be that difficult, considering that ESC still works while playing with a gamepad.
