I know some people may say there is no "best" but i am struggling with my OCD (stuck in character creation) and can't decide on the "proper" assignment of elemental skills to my intended 2 wizard PCs.

I have heard from some that Earth/Water and Fire/Air might be best if the Earth/Water wizard has better initiative so that they can go first to lay down oil and water for the other to light on fire and electrify.

I also read that Earth/Air and Fire/Water is good but this seems like it would leave one potential elemental combo always needing to wait until the following turn to be triggered.

Finally I read that the developers provided a companion wizard that is Air/Water which makes me wonder if that isn't them saying that is the best combo and by elimination that means a second wizard would want Fire/Earth since those aren't provided in the companion.

Any help would be appreciated. I keep going in circles in my head trying to figure this out.

IMHO you shouldn't pin yourself to 2 elements. We do 2/1/1/0 and 0/1/1/2 [Earth/Water/Air/Fire] and it works fine. Also you can allways compensate missing element(-s) with scrolls and new nades. Just be creative. Once I lit the gascloud by throwing a candle in it :D
