I really love pretty much all of the changes the enhanced edition has brought, to the exclusion of one: the voice acting.
I realise that there probably must have been business reasons for why the entire VO had to be redone from scratch, and different actors were probably difficult (or too expensive) to get them to revisit their roles.
Still, a significant part of the game's charm is now lost for me :( Therefore, a question - would you say it's possible to mod in the old voices from the original edition to the EE? Obviously with the caveat that all the unvoiced lines will remain unvoiced. Are the files compatible at all?
I would hugely prefer this for two reasons. One is that the previous cast has greatly grown on me, and the other is that BG2 style VOs (sparingly used and mostly for important NPCs/important dialogue) assists the narrative in my eyes and boosts the highlights of the story while keeping the less important bits less pronounced.
