Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Elemental Halls

When I was level 9, I unlocked the fire elemental hall at the homestead, but now I've reached level 16, have found 12 bloodstones and still none of the other are opening up. The statue remains inactive.

Am I doing something wrong here? I really want new skill books

You have to use the Bloodstones, which changes them into Star Stones. Then the Star Stones will be consumed and more portals will unlock.

Nope that wasn't the answer, bug I did a bit of research. I hadn't destroyed the giant bloodstone, so homestead was under attack. Apparently removing the attack on homestead caused the game to proceed. Kinda awkward getting 4 cutscenes in a row...
