I've been to the top of the hill and disarmed the fire thingys. I know where the barrier spell is supposed to be. My perception is 7 so I guess it's not high enough to see where to dig. I put a shovel in my quick things and used the shovel. I've dug all around the chest and my character keeps saying all this digging and I've found nothing.
I've seen the youtube videos and there's supposed to be a hot spot and I read if your perception is not high enough use the shovel which I've been doing. Is this a change in the enhanced version or what? This is pretty much of a game stopper.
For the Enhanced Edition, all you need to do is to talk to the mushroom thingy that is close north to the barrier, and beat it's riddles. It will give you the spell.
