Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Help: Boreas's Treasure Room

I am at the room just after killing Boreas. I have removed the barrier and when I go into the next room the switch on the right is covered with a static field. I have tried to click this switch about 10 times with success only once where the door to the next area is opened. However on that only instance when I made it to the door it was closed again. How do I get past this? How do I get rid of the static field? How do I get the door to stay open? I am stuck and can't continue. Please be very specific about how to do this so that I can continue playing the game. Thanks.

This is what worked for me, although it's probably not the intended path to take.

Use a Avatar of Storms scroll on a character to get him immune to the stunning cloud. Have him flip the switch (it doesn't switch off the sentinels, but it does, I believe allow the door to open).

Get another character that can turn invisible close to the final two sentinels (but so that they have not spotted him; the door should then be open and there should be no lava). Have him turn invisible and simply walk past the sentinels and into the next area. There'll be another switch there that does take care of the sentinels.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't work. I moved a character to a position close to the last guardians where they don't see me, moved another to the switch. When I pull the switch nothing happens. The door doesn't open. Seems this game is over for me as I can't proceed. I wonder if there is any way I can get my money back as I can't justify 60 dollars for a game that can only be played for a short time. I thought this game was longer than this. Maybe one of the developers can get me a fix for this.

When you get your character close to the last guardians, I'm assuming that the lava is there and that the door is closed? If so, move your character back a bit; you may have been spotted by them after all.

Of course you might also have flipped the switch once too often; I'm assuming, however, you already tried that.

P.S. I've a saved game that I just reloaded. It's probably simpler than I first described: I don't think you need to bother about the switch at all. Just get an invisible character through the door.
