Hello larian! First off I love this game and im about 40 hrs into it just found the wgite witch and am tasked with exploring the mines for any sign of the conduit. But since I have received that quest the luculla forest area causes the game to crash while loading any waypoints other than the mines. I hope this can be fixed! Keep making these great games! Haven't been this hooked on a game in awhile! Cheers!

Can you teleport to other areas (Cyseal, the homestead, etc)?

If you are playing on PC, please email supportdos@larian.com, with a brief description and the report.zip file (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) generated by the D:OS EE Analysis Tool.
Extract the zip file somewhere and run the AnalysisTool.exe. When that loads, browse to the install folder (if it is not automatically detected), optionally run the tests first, and then generate a report (it will be saved in the same location as the Analysis Tool).

The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. To reduce the file size, you can delete most of the saves from the zip; leave your latest, and the last save where you could teleport to Luculla.

Console saves can be sent, as well, but they would need to be transferred to a USB flash drive first, and a third party tool is required for drives formatted for Xbox One (see here).

I am on ps4 and yes the other areas load perfectly fine but luculla forest area crashes the game. The mines are the only place in luculla that will load.

Did you have any crashes earlier with particular traders? There is an issue that can cause crashes when trading, or teleporting back to regions where you've done a lot of crafting or trading, which will be fixed in the next update.
There are other issues fixed, as well, but without a save there is no way to check what the problem is in your case.

I have a similar problem but with Cyseal. However I have done the majority of my crafting there so sounds like the issue you described.

Is the Luculla Forest bug going to be fixed with the next console (ps4) update? I've done majority of my trading in cyseal but it is only Luculla Forest that crashed my game. Haven't played it basically since I bought it because of this. Can't continue the game since I'm also at the part where I need to get to the mines to continue the game

Yes, the bug with saves possibly crashing at some point after reaching Luculla (related to destroying troll droppings) will be fixed in the next console update.

I've been having this issue as well and I haven't been able to play my game for over a month . I've resorted to trying to find a work around for it, but I haven't had much luck so far. I know helping the blacksmith and his pet monster can potentially trigger it, so I'm thinking maybe I can just avoid that quest altogether or just try to save and reload after I do it until I get a functioning save.

I didn't know much about Larian prior to this game, but now that I see how slow they are to fix major bugs and how willing they to ship games with major game breaking bugs I doubt I'll be supporting them on day one again like I did for this game.

The bug is fixed already in the PC version of the game. Console patches are more involved to release, and there is more going into the current patch than the previous updates.

If this bug was discovered before release, it would have been fixed before release. It didn't occur in internal testing, or that done by Focus, Microsoft or Sony; they were all just as 'willing' to release the game as Larian.

I've read on these forums that this particular bug showed up in the original version of the game and yet it still somehow managed to pop up in the "enhanced" edtion. Anyway thanks for the info Raze, and yes I know all too well that Larian is not the only developer willing to release buggy broken games these days. I'm just frausated because the game itself is excellent I just wish it wasn't so broken at the moment.

There was a completely different problem with crashing in Luculla in D:OS.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to find all bugs in any game (or other software) as complex as this with finite resources.

Is there an ETA on when that console patch will go live? Like is it reasonable to say within this month? Or longer do you think?

The patch is still being finalized and needs to be tested, but as long as there are no critical issues discovered or there aren't any organizational issues with the release itself, it should be in the latter half of December.

Is there any update on a ps4 patch for this issue? I have been waiting almost a month and at this point I am about ready for a full refund. The game is unplayable on the ps4 once you reach the mines in Lucalla Forest.

I find it hard to believe this game was fully tested on the ps4.

AFAIK Focus has the patch and it should hopefully be released this week, but I have not seen a recent update on the ETA.

This bug is not platform specific, is related to something changed late in development, and is not something guaranteed to run into. The game was tested; this issue just wasn't observed before release.
