I'm hoping this is a bug and not WAI. I purchased all of the maps (hints) from Loenestra. 1-3 were all found already. 4-6, were not and can't be. I'm dancing all over their locations on the maps and circling around them to give plenty of room for error. I'm all for needing perception to find things on my own exploration, but when I pay thousands of gold for the exact location... I shouldn't need perception or anything other than a shovel to finish finding it.

Any clues on why I'm not getting this treasure? I'm assuming its a perception issue, but I don't want to nerf my characters building that skill up for when I have no idea how high it needs to be or if its even supposed to work that way.

There are spells or potions that can give a temporary perception boost. Also, earth summons (such as the spider) have pretty good perception, and can reveal hidden items.

Thank you for the clarification. still seems odd to me that perception is needed when the exact location is provided. This game is great about choice. Explore OR pay the price for the hint. This example seems contrary to the game mechanics up until now.

I tried a +2 potion and a spider. That worked for one location, but not another. Apparently you need over 10 perception for number 6. I do have a scoundrel, but without any direction, I have been putting points into dexterity and scoundrel skills.
