Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks Stuck - can't craft bows? Help?

I have the PC Enhanced Edition.
I cannot craft a bow to save my life.
The guides/recipes etc say it's possible, so I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Would appreciate any assistance.
I have crafting level 5.
Here is what I currently do:
- use a hatchet on a log to create 2 branches (and some wood chips)
- combine 2 sinews to create 1 bowstring
- combine branch + bowstring
Now, all the recipes say this should result in a bow.
But I get the 'nothing' message every single time.
I've tried strong sinews and normal sinews to create bowstrings.

Surely it can be done as it seems as though people have done it.
Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Ok, so I went back to try this out again.
I finally figured it out... thought I would edit the post in case anyone else had the same struggles.
The only way I could craft a bow was to combine Sinew plus Branch. So, sinew on the left hand side, branch on the right.
This results in a bow.
Going branch + sinew did not work.
Don't know if that's working as intended, or a bug, but in any event it's a freaking relief to finally figure it out.
