Hey guys, so this is my first post, and i wanted to ask you about an issue i just got when alt + f4 from my game, in fake fullscreen mode. I did it, and now every time i enter the game it gives me the corrupted or tampered error message, but the savegame seems perfectly fine, and i can do everything well. I was somewhat advanced in Act I and i dont wanna re-replay it again, since in Tactician mode, which i quit from normal game, where i was in Act II already. What should i do to remove the message, if the savegame is working fine? I tried verifying cache integrity on steam but it didnt remove the warning message. Do i need to start all over again? I dont have any backup from the game, and since i cant reupload from the cloud i guess :/, as that one should be corrupted aswell. Thanks

You don't have a recent working save that you can revert back to? There is a checksum value stored in the save file. If the data for the save is different when loaded than the checksum, the error message is triggered. There is no way to tell what changed, if it will have an effect, or if it does, how severe it would be, without getting someone to examine the save (and even then, if it is not something which would be identified by the debug version of the game loading the save, it may not be possible to track down). If you email supportdos@larian.com, with a brief description (or link to this topic) and the report.zip file (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc) generated by the D:OS EE Analysis Tool (for Windows), I'll get someone to look at the save. Extract the zip file somewhere and run the AnalysisTool.exe. When that loads, browse to the install folder (if it is not automatically detected), optionally run the tests first, and then generate a report (it will be saved in the same location as the Analysis Tool). The report will contain system and game information, as well as your saved games. To reduce the file size, you can delete all but one of the saves from the zip.

I am not getting any errors with your saves, so the problem is likely in the configuration or the game itself.
Try verifying local files: in the Steam library, right click on Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.
If applicable, disable Steam cloud support either globally (in the client click on the Steam menu and select Settings, and then Cloud) or just for this game (in the library right click Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition and select Properties, then switch to the Updates tab and check the Steam Cloud section).
Next, try browsing to the '..\Documents\Larian Studios' folder and rename the 'Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition' subfolder. This folder contains the saved games, configuration files and a level cache folder. Deleting or renaming it will get the game to recreate it on startup; playing the game from a different Windows user account would effectively do the same thing. With Steam cloud support enabled, Steam would just download the cloud copy of your existing profile. After that, start D:OS EE, create a new profile and see if you can start a new game and save/load. If that works fine, exit and copy a couple saves from the renamed folder into the newly created profile's savegames folder. If that lets you load the saves without an error, move the rest of the saves over. If you still get an error, delete the new My Documents D:OS EE folder and rename the original back again.

I just started getting the "tampered with or corrupted file" message as well on Xbox in honor mode. I tried deleting the local save and syncing from cloud. Now I can't leave End of Time! I tried dumping/resetting the memory and that didn't help. Now I can't finish the game in honor and I've put way too much time getting to level 46! Any thoughts on repairing the file?

What happens when you try leaving?
If you start a new game on explorer difficulty, and head straight to the clinic, as much as possible, to get the star stone there, do you have any problem entering and leaving the homestead?
Try clearing the cache (if that wasn't what you meant by resetting the memory): - press and hold the Xbox button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down - unplug the power cable and wait 30 seconds - plug the console back in and turn it on - log into the same Xbox Live account you were using, start the game and let it sync, if required
Unfortunately, there is no way to get a save off the Xbox (other than MS's automated cloud storage), to be able to check it.

Yes, I cleared the cache. I was able to leave the homestead and get to the frozen zone but can't get to Cyseal or Luculla (where I was farming). Game crashes when I try going to Cyseal or Luculla. Haven't tried Phantom Forest or the nightmare but if I can't farm anymore, I'll just go finish before something worse happens and I can't get my final achievement. Really wanted to see level 50 though just to see how far I could go!

Great. Finished the game but not getting update for honor trophy. Killed the dragon three times and went to the door and watched the credits (after stopping and talking to Zandalor and Arhu). Is there any way of getting the achievement?

AFAIK it should trigger with the start of the final credits. Did you try logging out, restarting the Xbox and logging in again, to see if the achievement list is just not being updated?
Did you get 'Kill With Power', if you didn't already have it from a previous tactician mode difficulty save? Completing an honour mode game should give 'Never Say Die', as well as 'Kill With Power' if it isn't unlocked.

Sweet! Logging out and restarting did the trick! Knocked off the dragon once more and got the achievement at start of credits! Thanks so much! Now for dos2.
To answer your question I did already unlock Kill With Power from previous run through. This was my third and final run through and now have all of the achievements.

Congratulations. I'm glad it was an easy fix (depending on when your last save was in the final fight).
