Hello guys, so ive been playing divinity original sin ee for today and ive noticed that after killing King Boreas and freeing the white witch, that my game has all of sudden start to slowdown (I click the tp pyramid and it takes 5-6 secs for it to react, and it takes some seconds to even organize and rearrange the party trough the portraits on the left. So the first thing i did was check the local integrity of files trough steam and it was all fine. I did make an update recently, which seems to be the cause maybe? But i also checked my hard disk for fragmentation and it was at 38%. What do you guys think is the problem? I already started defragmenting the disk, but if it turns out to not be the problem what could it be? Thank you.

When you move do the non-lead characters also lag behind? If so, that is a known issue a few people have encountered the last couple days. It is a problem in the save itself, and after it occurs, switching between map regions eventually causes performance problems (UI, non-lead character movement, some spell effects after the casting animation).

Yeah it does also affects all characters. But, do i have to start all over now, if the save file has a problem? Oh god i dont think ill have the patience to start all over again, hence why i previously did everything to ensure the save file was working fine. And even worst is that i cant play like this. Everything takes 5-6 seconds to respond, even choosing a teleporting location . Will there be a fix for this?

Hey, for some reason its now working fine, all i did was create a new game, exit to main menu, load my current savegame and its working... Maybe its a potential fix, but hopefully this issue is adressed. I only got this problem after todays early update. And the problem is back again, oh god this is pathetic -.-

Once the problem occurs in a game, teleporting between map regions will trigger the performance issues. The new game was just a temporary fix; you would need to reload an older save, and then switch maps a few times to check if it was before or after this started.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon, but I don't have an ETA.

The programmers have isolated the problem, and are currently working on implementing and testing a fix (no ETA yet).
