Is there some work around for getting into the Hall of Echos when Ba'al does not drop the sigil? I used the Developers' Cut f11 utility to get the sigil, but the door will still not open. And yes, I have the special "shield" item from Zanadalor's help mission. I revealed the door with the right spell scroll and can see the door but it will not open.

Greatly appreciate any help you can offer. I do not want to start all over again from the beginning only to have the same problem of not getting to its finale thanks to a mob not dropping an important item.

Did you try the F11 Unlock function?

Did adding the sigil to your inventory update the quest? If the quest is still listed as unfinished, the game could be checking the quest log, rather than your inventory.
Do you at least have the other 3 subquests marked as complete?

In the room where you fought Ba'al, a couple people had the loot bag drop under the platform Ba'al comes up on at the beginning, one of whom managed to get close enough to get it through the gap between the floor and platform. Godmode and the teleport function may allow you to get under the platform, if that is where the loot bag is.

The teleport function will let you bypass the door, and seems to work as far as being able to advance. Turn into a dragon, hit F11 and then use the 'goto Region' function to get to HoE_DreamScene Main.

Thank you so much for your fast reply, Raze. Since posting this question originally, I did go back to the door and did the Unlock in the F11 utility but now the door sounds like it opens and says it is open but does not actually let me in...the door does not move nor disappear but right clicking it make the info text for the door move back and forth between close door and open door but the door itself does not change at all.

I will go back and see if the bag appeared under the Ba'al platform or elsewhere out-of-sight, however, I would say the game is looking at the quest log because 3 of the 4 quests show done except the first one, "Lock and Key". I am going to try your last suggestion/idea which is to trigger the Dream cutscene that begins it...at least that is what I hope it will do. I will let you know if it does not work. You can assume it worked if I don't let you know otherwise.

It seemed to me that Ba'al ran off to a teleporter (just as I was giving him the final blows) and didn't drop anything which would seem to indicate that I did that quest out of order but it said somewhere to do the 4 quests in any order. Anyway, in my quest list, it lists "Lock and Key" as the first one so it makes no sense to make the first one dependent on doing any or all of the others first. Just saying.

Again, thank you for helping. You da' best!

Some doors that trigger quest events, etc, are not actually doors, so the unlock function was worth a shot, but it isn't surprising it didn't work.

I loaded a save in a flying fortress and tried the goto Region, to got through the Hall of Echoes (with god and mage mode enabled, level 60 character, to speed things up).

There is no specific order you need to do the quests in.

Raze,

Yes, the cutscene triggered with the "shortcut" and I am now finished with Ego Draconis and doing FoV. I am very happy that Larian has this forum and I am very much thankful...especially for YOU, Raze. Consider this my Happy Customer letter to you. Phenominal support! Way to go, Larian Studios and the awesomeness that goes by Raze here.

I am also replying here because I also wanted to rave about the Larian games. I count myself as very lucky to have come across the Divinity series. I have played Divine Divinity, Divinity II, Divinity Original Sin Enhanced, and will be trying Beyond Divinity more soon. I have loved EVERY moment of them thoroughly! I have never played more enjoyable games in my entire life and I am not young. I have been playing computer games since Lounge Lizard Larry, the Williams' attempts at an AI sort of game (that is a loooooong time!). The Divinity series has PC gaming and gaming in general, locked down to the best time spent and most engaging stories and interaction. And to think...I would have missed it all if not for Steam which I got so I could play and chat with my family at the same time.

I truly love playing these games. Divinity II DKS is my favorite thus far but Original Sin is impressive in every way. Divine Divinity made me feel like I (my ava) became divinity so it started me wondering what else Larian could offer me so I bought the anthology. Thank you for the Anthology. Just a note, because I have been enjoying Divinity anthology soooo much, my son bought Original Sin for us to play together. So I am hoping more family members will buy it so we can all play it together which is a dream I have had for a long time.

I only just stumbled onto the first one in Steam but I am so glad I did! Best purchase I could have made.

All my appreciation and respect, Darianne
