is it possible to raise the attitude of animals with any other way except for reputation?

Got caught pickpocketing because of stupid mistake i made and now Sam won't talk to me which will get in ways of quests like Kitty Love. NPCs can be gifted to talk to you again, but no options seem to be possible with Sam.

You don't have a recent save before that you can reload?

Did you try separating your main characters, and see if he reacts better to one than the other? If they don't both have Pet Pal, anyway, it might be hard to justify using a talent point as a workaround, though.

Eventually your base reputation may get high enough that Sam will talk to you.

Playing it ironman/honour mode style, so i don't reload even bad decisions(even though i know it's a bad idea in DOS) considering it was me who decided to try pickpocketing someone in middle of busy inn. But yeah, reloading isn't option and it is too late for that anyway.

Haven't tried to see how he would react to the other person, will try that but if it fails guess my reputation will be the only way once it gets high enough.
