I'm a level 7 rogue, playing with my friend. Some of the skills are a bit difficult to understand. Also, some skills have debatably changed since the original(which I did not play).

1. Does guerilla work with backstab? If not, what is the point of it?

2. Improving sneak does not reduce AP cost, correct? This makes the skill pretty worthless, no?

3. Is pickpocketing a good, fun skill to invest in?

4. Does lockpicking skill affect disarming traps?

5. Glass cannon's description just says extra 4 ap a turn... but I've read about people stacking this with attribute points somehow. Is this a thing?

6. If you have a skill that say, gives +1 to loremaster, but you have 0 base, can you still use the skill?
Thanks so much!

7. Does bully stack with backstabbing?

1. Guerrilla had some meaning in original release. In EE is just placeholder talent. Its not usefull anyhow.
2. Sneak had some meaning in original release. It EE is waste to spend even a point on it.
3. Its fun. There are some quests available for pickpocket. But its just side skill. You could also learn pickpocket a henchman who is usually parked in the Homestead, then get him for a walk only when you want clean whole city pockets. Althou be prepared that others Attitude will go down for this particular character. So no barter or talking skills.
4. No
5. Glass-canon was over-powered in original release. In EE is over-nerfed. Its not worth it now.
6. Yes. Loremaster is good for inspection of enemy weaknes. Very good feature.
7. Yes. Bully is good.

Rogue is now like damage dealer ninja with spells and grenades. Forgot sneaking use shadow walk.

You are welcome

Mostly gGeo's answers are right, though I'd add that Guerilla does improve backstab damage. Also GC was nerfed a lot, but it's still good. Moreso on a ranged mage or archer, though. It just adds 4 recovery AP, which stacks with whatever AP recovery bonus you get from your speed (every 2 points of speed = 1 recovery AP).

It is pretty lame that they give guerilla as a base skill on character creation... So, does it give a bonus or not? Sneak is a disappointment!

It does give a bonus. The change to Sneak just means you can not sneak before every attack, or at the end of every turn.

It does bonus, but you get it once per combat. At the best. You have a chance to get it if you are sneaking before combat started. It gives negative gain when sneak in combat. So the real benefit from talent is nearly zero. It would be nice they balance talents more. For example - allow to use Guerrilla bonus whenever attack from invisible (Shadow walk) status.

Pre-build characters are for new (casual) player who use Explorer or Normal difficulty. There are couple of weird choices, good opportunity for make your own perfect build from begining.

Game has a dept. You might want re-start a game again once you kill Braccus Rex. Its good milestone to get grasp on game mechanics.

You are good skill professor Baard. You get fixed bonus and pays by percentage bonus. That is not good. In fact, higher level you are, GC is worse. Higher level you are you get same 4 AP but pay more HP. It is same issue like Fortify spell. Fortify spell gives constant bonus. So higher you are better your equipment, spell gets less effect. Same issue had food. In original release it was worth only up to 2nd level. Becouse of fixed bonuses. In EE food is usable because of percentage bonus.
