Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks shield problems...(i need help again !)

when i pull up my armour screen the shield area is dark and there is no color only an outline of a sheild. however when putting the cursur on the area all the info for the sheild comes up just like all my other armour. i can pull up the charm screen and everything. i've tried numerous different shields and the same thing happenes. i have earlier saves where this doesn't happen? so what i was wondering was...is the shield working but just not showing up or does this mean there is a glitch and its not working at all? is there a way to fix it?

Have you installed the latest patch for the game?

It sounds like you are using a 2 handed weapon. Try un-equipping your weapon or switching to a 1 handed one, and the shield should be enabled.

lol,half the game i was running around proudly with my Dragon Shield. I had no clue that my sword was two handed, so I never used the shield! But I didn't notice! *g*
kinda went better as soon as I had the enchanted sword (you know,the one of the 3 holy items thingie). Apperently that one is one handed and it surprised me that my shield wasn't in dark anymore. Only then the pieces were falling together
