I hope the Localization files of D:OS2 are unencrypted and editable. So that we don't use English as fatherlanguage can eidt into our own language. I remember that the localizition files of D:OS EE is packaged.

Another problem is that the text in English.xml of D:OS is not sorted by logic or the story of the game,it is random. I cannot study the sentence from its context. That is a problem cause we translate it from English to Other more difficulty.

Thanks a lot.

Having the lines available in-context is something that will be addressed for D:OS 2, since that also caused problems with the official localizations, and voiced lines in D:OS and the EE.

Will the game add a Chinese Localization? If you have interest in it. I can offer the language support. Xmas

I don't think the localizations for D:OS 2 have been looked at in detail yet.

And what about Russian localization?

Russian is likely, along with the other languages D:OS started off supporting (French, German and Polish). That will be looked at further into the development process, along with localizations that were added later (Czech, Italian and Spanish) and the more requested languages that didn't get added.

Hello Devs,
maybe you could implement the game so that it could support special characters like á, é, í, ü, ő, ű, ö, ó? We would like to make a Hungarian translation in the future, and by Morrowind for example we had problems with this.
Thanks! hehe

Do you mean allowing those characters in the scripts, or also building a game font for it? The former should be quite easy if Larian do what every developer should be doing by building it in UTF8 from the ground up.

Also, several of those characters are already used in French and German, right? Theoretically supporting the rest with a font should not be too challenging. I'm really surprised this was such a problem in Morrowind. What did they do wrong?

By Morrowind the issue was that the game translated for example ő to o and all others, so the text was readable, but very tiring to understand. So our programmer had to paint this commas on the characters pixel by pixel and the result is much better but still not a beauty winner.
However it was some years ago, I just hope it will be easier now.. ;-)
