hey,

I have an issue with the game on PS4. I installed the game and when I have launched a new game, the game crashed during the first lauching page and I have an error code "CE-34878-0".
I sent a message to Sony, I did everything they told me. They said that was probably a game issue.
So I really don't know what to do. I don't say "no" to some advices.

thanks.

So it crashes before character creation when you try to start a new game?

Do you have a different profile you could try starting a game with?

Does it make a difference if you try a single player or multiplayer game? It probably won't, but might if the issue is network related.

Is the last update installed? (released a couple weeks ago) This isn't a known issue, though.

Yes exactly, just before character creation.
I tried to change my profile and nothing change.
The update is installed.
In new game, nothing works (single or multi).

If you say it's an unknown issue, i'm really worried!

Try deleting the game and reinstalling, if you have not already done so.

It seems the next step (see here, for example) would be to reinitialize the PS4, after backing up all data. There are a few Youtube videos about this error, as well.
Activision suggests removing a PS Camera, if one is connected, and disabling facial recognition.

The guide below suggests booting into safe mode and rebuilding the database (that would mean you'd need to redownload all updates for any games you have installed).

I tried everything and still not working, anyway it's worth now. the first menu is freezing and It tells me: "you're save is corrupted".
I understand this error is frequent but not the same for everyone. And you seem to say that i'm probably the first with an error occcured on the loading before creation character.
It's maybe my PS4 but the fact that is the first time i see this error since i bought my PS4 (18months). I'm really doubtfully.
But I'm really thankful for you're help, really.

There seems to be a problem now with the game accessing the drive to check the list of existing saves, and that could have caused the crashes starting a new game. I'll check and see if anyone has any suggestions.

This is the first report of a crash starting a new game on console, that I am aware of. There were a couple of issues which could cause that on PC (conflicts with too-strict firewalls or the software included with Bigfoot network adapters, freezing due to network driver issues that could be fixed by resetting the network adapter).

The last 3 nights around 9-10 pm window EST the game crashes and then initiates an update, rejoining after the update is finished and the same thing happens soon after. Like its a loop of some kind. This is while playing coop with another person and just started happening this week

You can try creating a new PS4 profile, but since you already tried a different one, a corrupt D:OS EE profile is unlikely to be the issue.

Other than that, reinitialize the PS4 or try a new hard drive. Given the troubleshooting you've already done this sounds like an issue with corrupt data or a faulty hard drive.

I've changed my hard drive and the problem is still here. So I think i have only one solution... A new PS4...

I would say DO NOT buy a new PS4. There are so many bugs in this game it is almost a certainty it is the developers fault and not your equipment. Just look at all the other horrible problems people are having. Don't let them tell you it is YOUR problem to fix.
