I am not sure if this is intended, or if I have completely screwed my characters somehow. But I am recieving between 500 to 1000 (not common for 1000 but it gets close) damage from opponents (not per hit, per one enemies turn) each. Where my characters do at most 500 if they score a crit and land another hit. Also you are usually outnumbered, opponents have more health then you, and none of the spells or cc work at later levels due to opponents being immune to mostly everything.

If its intended ill take it how it is, but if not am i missing something on my characters? My tank loses about 500 health every time he takes a full salvo from any basic mob such as wolves or spiders (lucella) and his Flurry only dishes out 400 at most. I feel weak and uninspired to play this game when trying to kill spiders my level leave half my party dead.

I built my warrior for two handed, only invested in man at arms body building and willpower. He has the best armour and weapons I come across, high resisitances to all elements. But as soon as an enemy with physical damage comes along he is like a wet tissue. they usually hit about 4 times for 100-200 damage each hit. I read everywhere that this game gets super easy after the start? Is this changed in enhanced edition, or have I missed something?

What level are your characters, and the opponents?

If you are out-levelled, try a different area first. In Luculla Forest, for example, did you explore the White Witch's cabin (east of the Cyseal Road waypoint)? That leads to an area with opponents suitable for the start of Luculla.

Im not outlevelled, I am level 14 against level 14 spiders in the forest. I finished all of hiberhiem (however you spell it) Is it just a generally frustrating area due to the slow effect? I tried to kill the guy behind the waterfall but he mops the floor with me.

Yes, the slow effect does make the desert area much more challenging if you are at the same level. Fire is effective there, combined with the poison the spiders produce/bleed. Or you can sneak past and come back at a higher level, etc.
