So i just managed to get into the Temple of the Dead and killed the evil dogs (?), then stumbled upon two sentinels guarding massive pits of lava.
First of all, i don't recall this from the first Original Sin, but i guess its a new challenge. The problem is that i can't seem to find a way to past this segment of the dungeon.

Things i've tried already and didn't worked:
- Destroying the sentinels by using DK's vulnerability spell.
- Reaching 100 Fire Res and trying to walk over it.
- Teleporting past the sentinels.
- Using barrels and stuff to stop the pits from producing lava.
- Disarming the two pits that are closer.
- Finding a lever or button to deactivate the sentinels.
- Hiding from the sentinels; have in mind, the lava is still there even when they don't see you. When they spot you they yell their usual "INTRUDER SPIED" but nothing different seems to happen.
- Insulting my monitor.
- Crying.

So... any suggestions? I'm starting to believe that this part is rigged somehow. suspicion
Something else to add: before crossing the second bridge, there's a head-like wall that leads to another corridor, but i cannot seem to find a way to open it either. I've got a maximum of 14 perception btw, do i need more for this particular section? That would be SO cheap. shame

The DK Bane spell doesn't work on sentinels in the EE. The Teleport spell does, so you may be able to teleport them somewhere they can not see you.
There are heavy crates in the area that you can put on the traps. You can try using something non-flammable to block lava vents, like cooking pots.

The area behind the skull area is just a dead end. You're not meant to be able to get through.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
As i stated before, the fact that the sentinels see me doesn't really seem to do anything different: the lava is always there, whether they detect me or not. And i've already tried to put non-flammable objets over the pits - nothing seems to happen.
Also, i can see a lever way behind the lava that i assume it deactivates the sentinels, but it's too far away to teleport there so reaching it is out of the question.

Any other ideas? frown

If I remember correctly the lava can be purged with a Tornado spell. If the problem is the lava.
If the problem are the enemies, I can't help. I never had big problems with any fight in the game in Normal mode.

I have not been through there in the EE yet. There should be somewhere that is safe to teleport, or throw a teleporter pyramid, or find another way to get around, etc.

Do you have a character with level 2 scoundrel, to be able to use Winged Feet? If not maybe swap out a companion or hire a henchman (at least the level 17 rogue has Winged Feet already, or several of the lower level rogues and shadowblades have level 2 scoundrel, so could learn it from a book).

Well, thanks again for the other ideas, but i finally managed to solve it. Check this out...
The northern path leads to the journal that describes how to make a perception potion in order to find the secret door to Cassandra's grave. Now, to cross that section, i had to teleport one of my characters to a very specific spot in which the lava didn't touched me, and from there teleport again to the lever that deactivates the sentinel. I'm pretty sure it's a very cheesy way to do it, but i honestly coulnd't find another - nevertheless, that path isn't really necessary to advance.

Now, the eastern path is the one that leads to the waypoint, laboratory and secret passage. As i stated before the lava was always there regardless the sentinel spotted me or not, and there weren't any ways to stop it. After trying a million things i teleported the sentinel far away from the lava and what happened is that he started to spot me with the INTRUDER ALERT line, yet the lava dissapeared.
That's right, it was backwards - when i moved my characters away from the sentinel the lava showed up again, and when i stood right in front of him the lava dissapeared. I'm pretty sure that part is somehow glitched, because it also worked ONLY when i moved the sentinel away from the corridor.

So, again, thanks for the help, but i guess this time the solution was rather... obscure. :P
