I'm playing on PS4. I have over 50 platinumed games, some are among the hardest (Binding of Isaac, Vanquish, ...), which give, I think, a little credit when it comes to evaluate a game's trophies/achievements.

Lvl 16 on my 2nd playthrough, on Honor Mode, and my two main protagonists simply died walking on lava. I was controlling Jahan, and the IA/pathfinding just threw away 30+ hours.

I won't start a new game. I'm giving up of the platinum. Not only because honor mode felt cheap (so many things can kill you in a second), but because of the different bugged trophies:
- Madora's quest was bugged. At some point, she stopped talking to me when she should have, and her quest simply never started
- Freeing Esmeralda from prison didn't give me the trophy
- Bairdotr wouldn't stay with me when facing Jareth, even if my two main characters had an Independent trait. I have absolutely no clue what I should have done to get the trophy

So, to sum everything up, bugged trophies and a cheap difficulty mode ruined my experience of the game.

Bairdotr's decision is based on the conversations you had with her up to that point, not the traits of the main characters.

Madora's dialogues not triggering is not a known issue, that I recall, so someone would had to have taken a look at the save to determine the problem. Same for releasing Esmeralda.

I'd have really loved to show you the save.

But, yeah... you know... game erasing save data just because you walk on lava... that kind of things.

Here is my psn profile for the game's trophies : http://psnprofiles.com/trophies/4007-Divinity-Original-Sin-Enhanced-Edition/dizayeure

It's not a proof per se, but well, it just shows that "The one that got away" didn't unlock frown

Yes, deleting saves is less than optimal for encountering or trying to reproduce bugs. There are known issues with follower pathfinding and staying in formation, but they should still avoid damage surfaces and spotted traps.
You could back the save up to a USB flash drive after each session, though.

Yeah I know about the back-up thing. I did it at first (Cyseal part is really hard on tactician difficulty), and drop it once Cyseal was done. It was quickly annoying to download/upload the save data, and I really didn't see the point to simply make tactician mode more annoying (but not more difficult). Like I said, honour mode felt really cheap to me. It's the level 0 of 'how to artificially increase a game's difficulty'. I guess balancing another difficulty mode was too much work (and, btw, tactician mode wasn't really well balanced...), so, hey, let's just delete the save after a game over laugh. Nice idea.

Some aspects of the game (like the RPS minigame, which determines so many things based on mostly luck) felt unfortunately badly designed.
