Hello.

I've downloaded D:OS EE this week and wanted to know if the merchants get new spellbooks.
I'm level 8 and since lvl 5 I've been noticing that none of the merchants that sell spellbooks have new ones to sell. They do resupply on gold and other items (though they always keep the items I sold them earlier) but they don't seem to get new spellbooks... Is this a bug or is the game this way?

PS: loved the game.

They do get new spell books, depending on your level and the merchant in question. There are more merchants in the next town that you get to, as well as in the homestead, once you open the appropriate portals. The next town should be available by level 10 (you could get to Luculla Forest now if you wish, going through the fire area north east of town; one opponent might be an issue depending on party composition and difficulty, but you can sneak to get someone past it). Depending how thoroughly you explored the Black Cove, you may have access to the first elemental portal in the homestead by then, as well.

Also, a quick reminder to be careful whom you kill. There are some traders that may or may not have combat options pending on your actions. And, it sucks to find out you killed the only Witchcraft skill-giver in the area... hypothetically

And, some NPCs will trade before combat (ALWAYS hit the trade button before exhausting dialogue with everyone). Some NPCs will drop all items they sell/carry, while some will not. There may be a list of who does what, but without resorting to spoilers and tons of research, I'd say buy before you kill as a general rule.
