Playing through Classic version for kicks and achievements and have made it to Balberith where there are apparently 3 branching achievements for the fight. The first two aren't an option for me. I've read that I need to be:
"having a Compassionate/Heartless trait that doesn't lean too heavily in the Compassionate direction"
Knowing this partly in advance I picked heartless every time I could, but I already had a compassion of 5. Now my score is 5/3 in favor of compassion. Was hoping this wasn't leaning too heavily, but I never get a chance to make a deal (yes, Jahan is in my party, and Balberith says I'm too compassionate and agreeable with Jahan).
I guess the question is, are there other opportunities within act 3 to gain heartless traits? (all I have left is the soul forge and the temple). Or do I have to replay the entire game always being a jerk for this one encounter?
