Hello guys

Before anything else, I just want to say -" THIS GAME FREAKING ROCKS!!!" .I just read everything on game wikipedia, watched a ton of explanation videos about this game and I can , without a doubt, say this is MY TYPE OF GAME. I am just so sad I came across this game like a month or so ago.

Now that out of the way, I want to ask you what some of the options mean in this game and basic clarification. So here goes:

Dual Dialogs - I have so many self explanations for this one, but I need a proper, clear one. Both single and multiplayer.

Close up dialog - Camera zooms when dialogue opens or?

Dynamic camera

Peace, combat and tactical highlights ???

And some clarification

Multiplayer:
There are 2 main characters in this game. Friend and I can go our separate ways and thus shape the story that way or we can go always together? What happens if someone of us dies when we are separated? What if chose to go into a dungeon and he chose not to, but actually we both want to go. Is the game gonna let us go there or will it be scripted to forbid us enter?

Aaand that's it I guess (for now).
Looking forward to your answers. Can't wait to start playing this beauty.
Thanks!!!

Dual dialogues refers to conversations that can be had between the main characters after certain events (like the first fight in the game), which can determine their traits (see the trait tab in the inventory window) and relationship between the characters.

Yes, 'Close up dialog' zooms the camera in more for conversations. It is intended for mods (as the warning says if you enable it), since the main game was designed with limited zoom (a closer zoom doesn't always work well).

Dynamic camera determines if the camera follows the active character during combat.

Peace, combat and tactical highlights outline characters in the given situation. Hit B (Dpad Up with a controller) to switch to the overhead tactical view, to see how that works.

In co-op you can split up and go wherever you wish on the same map; you need to be together to move between map areas.
If one of you gets killed, the other will have to resurrect them. If you are not playing Lone Wolf characters, you will be able to recruit another 2 companions to join your party fairly shortly after getting to the main section of the first town, so you can each control 2 characters.

Thank you Raze for clarifying these for me!

Just two more questions.
Dual dialogs is then only for single player , right?
And you didn't actually answer this one -> "What if chose to go into a dungeon and he chose not to, but actually we both want to go. Is the game gonna let us go there or will it be scripted to forbid us enter? "

Thanks laugh

Dual dialogues exist in single player and co-op.

I did answer that question. If the dungeon is on the same map, as is generally the case, one of you can enter without the other.

Okay okay...
Maybe my example wasn't good.
You know how in single player , if playing with random AI, you have to play rock, paper, scissor if you disagree about something. Then how does it work in multiplayer? Let's say killing some important guy. I said we should not kill him and my friend said we should. I won with rock, paper, scissor. BUT, WHAT IF WE ACTUALLY WANNA KILL HIM AFTER ALL? Has the game put some kind of variable and that guy is now protected by script or can we still kill him?

Playing with random AI in single player has sense and it's nice, but we both now if we play with a friend over Skype that sometimes we can misclick.
I really hope I explained myself now.

Thank you for replying to me. I know I am getting a bit boring now smirk

You can still attack NPCs if they remain friendly after winning RPS.

Also, if you dislike the disagreements between your characters, you can do one of three things:

1) don't assign them an AI personality during character creation

or

2) if you've already created characters and are in-game, then turn off the Dual Dialogues option in the Game Settings.

or

3) if you assign both characters the same AI personality, and keep Dual Dialogues on (as I did in my newest play-through of the game on accident), then you just have to have the characters go along with one another in their conversations.

also: from larian staff: "You can change the AI personality to Loyal to always agree, or leave it unset to choose both yourself. That can be done once you've found the third star / blood stone, and opened the portal in the homestead after the Hall of Heroes."
