Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) General Race options?

(Note: Race "not" meaning elf, dwarf, orc, ect...)

DD had gender, class, skill, stat, good person, not so good person, options that you could select (initially or as you played through the game) - but no race options. I notice even early in the game - there are npc of mutliple skin colors - is BD & DD2 - going to limit you to caucasian again? It's not a major thing... but just like male/female options it is still a nice thing. *shrugs* just wondering... sorry if it's a bother... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

Ah! But you're wrong! It's scientifically proven that all the humans are of the same RACE! There's no "Black race" or "chinese race", there's only the "human race" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />.

Not a bad idea, but Marian would've drawn avatars for the rest of his life <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.
Though I don't know why they needed a specific avatar for every haircolour: Baldur's Gate had you chose the skin/cloth/hair colour independently from the picture... Not that I am criticizing Larian: I am sure they know what they do.

Different engine/Different technology maybe? Either wya, just thought i'd throw it out there - like I said not a major thing - not by far. If it's anything like DD (which i'm playing now) I'm sure it'll be more than fine. The graphics don't seem to make the game (they were really nice mind you) but it's the story/humor that's making it for me so far. We all hope it would surpass Divine Divinity. I liked the graphics too. I never had anything against 2d.
