I know some people consider playing a game such as this with a game pad something of a crime, especially on PC... but I find it more relaxing, these days.
In any case, whilst playing D:OS1 I found myself frequently getting frustrated when it comes to crafting, and wondered if the controls might be improved in D:OS2.
Say combining 2 potions together, for example:
I place the first potion in the first crafting slot, then I want to pick another potion to add it to the next slot. Instead, it takes the first potion out.
Ok, so I first have to split the stack I have, which sends the new stack right to the bottom of my inventory. So I place the first stack in my hand, then plop it down next to it.
I can then pick the first pile and combine it with the second... this will give me my new potion.
Would it be easier, however, if it was a queue based system?
When in the crafting page, you press A on the first item, then A on the second item, then hold A to combine. To remove an item, you press X, just like how you remove attribute or ability points? Or even B?
I'd much rather just press A twice on a potion to combine it, rather than go through the struggle of splitting them and putting it in my hand so they're closer together in my inventory.
Also, whilst on the subject of splitting, can the scroll count gain speed the longer you hold the stick?
When my friend needs 1000 gold and I have 10000, it takes ages to get down to the 1000, and I don't want to just give him 5000.
Thoughts?
