When you are at the elf camp in the Dark Forest, there is a female elf there that will agree to "go out with you" if you do some things for her. she asked me to find an amulet that used to be her grandmothers. where the heck is this amulet she spoke of?

The most knowledgeable person in the game, as far as amulets go, would be the dwarven jeweler in the dwarven halls...

It depends if your character is a male or female. And you take that image of the amulet to the dwarven jeweler and ask him to make a perfect copy of it.
