I love the 4 player Co-op option, but would love to have the same flexibility for my 4 playable characters in single player. How great would it be to create and fully customize 4 characters, hand crafted to fit your vision of what these companions should be, and then tackle the game with these 4 unique characters just as 4 player co-op players can.
Additionally, it would add another layer of customization if there were some more generic origins that players could include with their customized characters. That way they can have more control over their characters race, gender, class, and physical appearance while still getting the benefits of an origin story. A great example of the current restrictions is having to play as a red lizard to have that origin story. I would love to have more flexibility in this area.
I have been fantasizing about playing this game as a group of non human characters (Lizard, Undead, Elf, and Dwarf) who all work together to overcome prejudices to save the world.
