Background:
Original Sin 2 introduces the concept of "secret missions" for different party members. The secret missions are intended to be completed by an individual member of the party instead of the entire party together, sometimes at the detriment of the other members in the party. As such, the journal entries for these types of missions are recorded in the personal diary of the member receiving the mission and are inaccessible by the other members in the party.
Of course, not all missions are adversarial in nature. Players have the option to share their diaries to other members in the party so they can access the mission log. I imagine this is meant to share information and request the help and resource of the entire party to complete the mission together even though initially the mission is only offered to one member of the group.
The Problem:
The current implementation of the "share diary" option in journal shares your ENTIRE diary. That means other members won't just see the mission where you want to request their help to find Mary's lost little lamb. They will also see your excellent progress on another mission where you are to poison their food and claim life insurance over their cold dead bodies. Not good.
Solution:
Allow the player to toggle share each mission diary entry individually as opposed to the whole diary at once. This way we can all become the town heroes that saved Mary's childhood pet, and then I can play the poor sod that later lost all of his heroic friends in a tragic accident of food poisoning. Never mind that I became a millionaire. It's the friendship that matters. Huehuehuehuehue.
