Is anyone else finding the Map hard to navigate?

I am finding it difficult to motivate myself to play as I am having trouble figuring out what areas I have already explored

Is there any chance (in a future patch) of having a different color trail appear on the map for areas I have already explored? Maybe this could be an option that could be toggled on and off in options. I would be ok if this reset every time I played.

I am sure this is/will be a great game but right now I just can't comment as I am too frustrated by basic navigation of my character due to the map.

Maybe it is just me that is finding it hard to explore

Does anyone have any tips on how to explore or how to use the map?

Also, my characters seem to move so slow when exploring. Is there some trick to making them move faster?

You can relatively clarely see on the world map where you have and haven't explored. It's blacked out if it's areas you haven't visited yet.

Adding some custom markers really helps me. And no, you can't make them move faster, but when already explored you can click once where you want them to go, click 'home' to let the camera follow and enjoy some scenery and take a nip of your coffee while they walk ;-)

This, especially the custom markers point.

Every time you find a point of interest, an item or place you cant get to yet, or a person you might want to talk latter you should make a custom marker on your map. I rarely did this in DOS1, but in DOS2 it really helps you get the lay of the land.

It is... but the same was the case for D:OS1. But once you've gotten through all of it once, it kinda clicks and any following playthroughs it's very easy to navigate.

Then the full game is released, and it becomes hard again smirk
