I've decided to post suggestions to improve the game as I play the Early Access, I can only hope Larian will take a look at them (:
I did my best to keep my personal thoughts out of this and focus on what would improve the game for everyone, collectively. - So please, if you have any good ideas feel free to post. I will update this as more ideas come to mind.~
[Character Creation]
-A great variety of customization options. (These may sound overblown, but customization is obviously very important for immersion in an RPG game)
-Hair types: At least 6 types of hair of each length; short, medium, long. - for each gender of each race.
-Beard types: Stubble, Mutton chops, full beards etc.. 4 beard types are too few, and they all look awkward.
-Faces: more young faces, I could only find 2 for each gender of every race.
-Ability to zoom in and out on your character with the mouse wheel.
-Tattoos & Piercings. (It would especially fit the elves, in my opinion. Sebille's tattoos can be greyed out so you can't change them)
-Warpaint & make-up.
-Ability to create more than 1 character from the start.
-Split combat and civil ability tabs as they are in the game.
-Button to generate a random name from pools of names unique for each race and gender.
[Interface]
-Equipped (shown) helmets show up in character icon. (and disappear when hidden)
-Move "spell warnings" so they don't block the texts above enemies. (Enemies often attack before I get a chance to read what they're saying, and "Skeleton used *insert spell* on you" blocks it.)
-When you open the inventory, other characters' inventories are minimized by default. In singleplayer, selecting a character maximizes his inventory and minimizes the other. (especially annoying when you're playing with 4 people, each of them with 5 rows of items)
[Gameplay]
-NPCs only talk to the selected character
-Set connection menu to "invite-only" by default.
-Ability to zoom out more.
-Ability to do companion quests when you recruit them later. (as of now, they can't start their personal quests)
-No item durability/repairing. This feature isn't remotely immersive or fun. Tedious, more like.
[Balance]
-Decrease the amount of memory slots Source skills use to 2. (At this point, having many level 1 skills instead of one high-level is better in every situation)
[Audio]
-Improved attack sounds for characters. (Right now, they moan in pain when they attack)
-Quieter rat footsteps. (gets annoying, FAST)
[Content]
-A bag merchant that sells normal bags, different looking bags and unique bags that are bigger when you open them. The inventory tends to get cluttered in the late game, and i'm afraid 1 bag often isn't enough.
[Visual]
-Warm\chilled statuses don't make your character completely orange\white. Perhaps a bit more subtle visual effect would be nicer.
-Armor rework for humans. Humans look VERY fat in every kind of armor, whereas other races look more pleasant. .. with the exception of dwarves, they're meant to look fat. (No fat shaming intended)
