I hope this is where we would put feature suggestions/requests. Otherwise could it be moved where its supposed to go. Thanks!
HI!
I believe many of us would say the same about the Dynamic camera system in dos being way to aggressive with its action focus panning.
This was an issue in dos/ee and is still in dos2ea, it was the first thing I turned off now and was a relief when I found it during my first run of dos.
What I would like to suggest (and really hope for) is either a complete rework of the current system to reduce the amount of camera pans during an action and most importantly during your own turn. It can pan to your character at the beginning of the round but I really don't want the camera to adjust itself after every attack/action, its the cause of a LOT of misclicks.
Or what would be really nice to see is an option to choose how aggressive it is. Think of it like autocorrect on an android phone, you have the option to choose between it being modest, aggressive and very aggressive when correcting your misspells.
Very aggressive would be how the system acts currently.
Aggressive could be so it focuses on the character on beginning of turn, then have one adjustment for each action (pan camera between caster and target on action and focus on char when walking, not like it is now where it first does that but also pans back to the character after every action is complete), then when it does another action it pans once again.
Also maybe no adjustment to camera at all during close melee actions.
Modest would be my favorite and to me would just be to focus on the current character on the beginning of each characters turn. Nothing more.
I just want to see who is going to make the move and then adjust the camera manually according to the actions.
And lastly none which is dynamic camera disabled like you can now.
Thank you, I hope this goes into consideration and appreciate it if it does..
Cheers, Larian and everyone else!
