Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Bishop Alexander's fate (SPOILERS)

When I read through the Kickstarter page story summary for Divinity: Original Sin II, I'm pretty sure it put Bishop Alexander as the main antagonist for the game, so to put it short, I'm quite surprised he's killed off so early game. Any thoughts as to what the game holds if he's already killed off?
