Just finished my first play through of whats available, and can I just start by saying you fixed a bunch of things that bugged me with the DOS and made me a very happy man indeed. Loving your work Larian.

One thing that occurs to me is there is a LOT of crafting and inv management that you need to do, and I find myself often wanting to continue the adventure rather then properly sort through my inventory. I'd love it if there was an inn type place where you could hang out with the weird locals and go through stuff. It does make a big difference if you have a nice place to go and sort out your inventory. Anywhere that feels like its a nice place to stop and be with the locals, could be a bunch of different things (Inn, Drudanae den, tinkerers guild, giant frog willing to rent out its innards?). I just think it would be swell to have a nice place to sort out your gear, and preferably a reason to sort your gear out in that spot. Vendors, crafting tables etc. Obviously this wouldn't work in Act I, but later in the game perhaps?

May i ask you why you could not just stop somewhere and do your managing?
you are in a turn based game, no risk for a zerg rush in your base or a headshot from a sniper. Plus, you have 90% of the screen covered anyway by the menu and HUD.

Sounds like you are asking for something they have already addressed.

$1,500,000 Stretch Goal; The Hall of Echoes

Some Rivellonians live in fear of it; some write songs of it; others still are sent there far before their time. When we reach $1,500,000, we’ll send you to the Hall of Echoes, land of the dead.

You, unique among the living, will be able to travel to and from this spirit world, where you’ll uncover mysteries never before discovered by mortal eyes. You’ll gain access to occult wonders, and you’ll come face to face with those you’ve lost– and those you’ve dispatched.

The best part – you’ll be able to make this your home base!

Note the last line.

Obviously its not locals but its what a lot of people would think of, a home base.

With my buddy, back in D:OS1 all the crafting was done in Cyseal market. We had a house near there filled with all kinds of things we stole from all over the world. You need merchants close to sell junk and buy items for crafting.
