Larian,

I'm pretty sure that in DOS:EE I could pick lone wolf right from the beginning. Why do I have to wait until level 8 now. I can't be bothered kitting out 2-4 chars etc. Please make this available right away.

It really doesn't make sense that any talents wouldn't be available until level 8 in EA, seeing as you can only hit level 8 during he final fight. But, yeah, One Man Army in particular is an odd choice for that kind of level restriction.

That is because One Man Army is a feat that works just as well with AND without a party.

How would you know?

You can't take it and level up afterwards in the EA version of the game.

Taking it on a solo character gives +65% Vitality and +2 AP and nothing else.

You would need to level up to 9 to see any change in attribute and skill points per level. But there's not enough xp available to do that.

It says it gives a scaling bonus based on party size. Well have you tested taking it with a party 1, party of 2, and party of 3 to support your statement that it works just as well?

Show the number please.

I tested it on a solo character and saw the +2 AP and +65% Vitality. Couldn't ask anyone else to join to see how it affects the numbers because nobody else was alive. That was the only way I could reach level 8.

I dunno I always assumed it works if someone in your party dies :P

Or during "competitive questing"

If that all the bonus gave....that's not really enough in my opinion smirk A damage bonus would be nice and maybe some armor and stats? It's suppose to make up for a full party soaking up and dishing out damage, yes? Assuming it doesn't give you a good amount of extra level up points that is....in which case I could live with it sorta depending on how many combat ability pints it gives.

I agree that Lonewolf should be available from the beginning.

Though i understand that the game is best played and understood in a 4 man party where everyone has their own unique story line,

I think Lone wolf/ One Man Army should be available from the beginning as an option*

There is absolutely no way i would have got into this genre had it not been for 2 man lone wolf co op in the first game. It's easier to acclimatize yourself to the game and genre by focusing on one character.

it IS available from the beginning.. they only made it level 8 for the early access so people would use a party and not solo it (probably to test balance ect)

Wouldn't it make more sense to let people test it from the beginning specifically for balance reasons? after all, that is why the game is in early access.

Not if they want to balance the game around party play.

Hm, will it no longer let us have a full party of NPCs? Because if not,t hat'd suck since it'd keep us from experiencing the whole of the story while being able to make our one character feel godlike.

Isnt it whole point of lone wolf skill going by yourself alone? Though I have to say I do partially agree with you but maybe with only one companion but definitively NOT four. ouch
Maybe best solution for "lone wolf problem" would be while you do get some extra skill or buff when you go totally solo, that when you go with one companion that damage from enemies scale with the health of main character.
I am not sure how well would this be put in game but this is first thing that comes on my mind with lone wolf.... or maybe giving main character more AP. think

Close; there are bonuses from Lone Wolf when the character is alone, or with a single other party member.

Hi Raze
I missed this previously. So there will be 2 different talents. One man army and Lone Wolf?
Great

This was a relatively recent change, not in the last alpha update, so you didn't 'miss' anything. One Man Army had a level 8 requirement since it was just a placeholder; once the rest of the game was balanced enough to be able to take a look at the talent, it was redesigned and renamed back to Lone Wolf.
