The combat in this game is so good that I feel there could be more opportunities to have a good fight, especially at the beginning when the party is small and not well equipped.

Here are my propositions:

- Some prisoners brigands who want to get some loot near the shipwreck area.
- More magisters on the beach following the other two and willing to end their lives for some reasons (the player will have to take side, one side is for Atusa and the other for Dallis. They have some grudge to settle).
- Some squeletons to fight in the place where you get the magic sword, on the top of a hill behind the tower (A place you can only access by teleportation).
- More fireslugs in the underground tunnel. They are so few, it's a boring fight at the moment.

I actually feel the opposite way, I want LESS fights in act 1. More quests, more convo, less fighting. There's too much as is... my humble opinion.

I believe that explorer mode was specifically made to address this type of concern. I hope that it can end up being the sort of experience you're looking for, if it is not right now.

I do not think that there is too much or too little combat. I like the balance right now. I would, however, like to challenge my friends in the Arena more than once, so I can get my fill of combat in whenever I like. That, and more PvE encounters there in general. I feel like this would add lots of replayable combat to the game, without bogging down the main point of the campaign. That, or they could expand and add to the AI in Arena mode. Or both. Seems logical to me.

I think there should be at least one more level 1 and one more level 2 fights with always-hostiles. At the moment it feels like you need to do absolutely every single thing to reach level 3, which makes quests less side-quests and more mandatory.

Additional quests would be nice of course, but I do not think that the current quest-fight balance at level 1-2 would be served by ONLY adding more and more quests and 0 fights. Having to do an excessive amount of questing can be just as tiring and repetitive as having to do an excessive amount of fighting.

Yes, there will be a tutorial before the character ends up on the beach.

I know that encounters are hand-crafted. Or at least they were promised to be.

So while this rules out random encounters, perhaps certain map points could be tagged as "random-possible", and spawn enemies from a crafted preset pool?
