Good Day/Evening to u all...
I begun some days ago a tactician game with 2 lone wolves.
Overall, combining stealth, distance and fleeing when there is too much danger did good. But I noticed something a bit strange... My party died once on a fight with undead close to the standing stones where you find a way down to elemental pillars.
One of the skeleton warriors casts crushing fists, leaving my mage knocked down for... what ? 3 turns ? Ok, maybe I misred. Kills all other undead, my mage dies, leaving my archer alone with this one dude.
He casts crushing fists... again, knocking down for 3 turns... again. There I said myself : That's a boss skeleton, ok... but it doesn't look that way. My archer stood up the damage the 3 turns and surprise ! Skeleton casts crushing fists on the 3rd turn... again !
So, well.
I guessed in tactician mode skill changes so I got to captain Aureus to look at Crushing Fists : Knocked down 2 turns, Cooldown 7 turns.
That skeleton has more than 15 str to get only 3 rounds cooldown (hell, he may even have less than 3 rounds CD !) and he's got a power-up to upgrade knocked down duration... I would have loved to know that "difficulty" was handled that way.
Other issue : I went to the Cyseal gate where half-eaten zombies are. Got through the fight no problem (still lv4, ennemies lv5). I found strange that some zombies did not earn me any XP (no, they were not summoned or hey that was offscreen).
Why ?
Sure the game gets harder if I don't have the XP of the monsters I slay. But sure, I'm NOT ready to play a game that handles difficulty with free exceptions to the rules it creates itself...
Has anyone encountered things like this and/or has an explaination ? I would very much like to hear about this !
