Dutch is my native tongue, so I can confirm that it's in fact Dutch. I think the best translation would be 'arena'.

zou je dat zeggen....arena is arena...dat heeft geen vertaling nodig....yeah you can call it arena but we have the same word for arena in Dutch....

Gefechtsring : Gefecht = fight, quarrel, Ring = Ring. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

In this copntext, a Ring is a kind of Arena, maybe. I need the Kontext to properly translate it.

Just to make clear : I used the German word. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

well german and dutch show many similarity's in words...and about the word "ring" it has about the same meaning in dutch and english..and german so it seems.....and the word gevecht means a fight or fighting....so fighting arena is about the proper translation...

Don't worry. With a bit training it's possibly to understand German, since there is quite an amound of words similar in both languages. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Exactly as it is in my case ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> (I mean with the netherlands / belgium languages. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> )
