I hope this gets fixed for in my opinion it makes the game less fun.

You become way overpowered.

When you kill a vendor or an NPC that can trade you CANNOT get the items they uniquely sell. Unless you first buy those items and then resell them, and then loot their bodies once you kill them.

So you sell all your stuff especially art paintings buy out all their stuff and their money, you have enough junk, if they still have left over money, sell the stuff you just bought from them and then you kill them, once you kill them all items you sold to them including the unique items that only they sell are now retrievable.

Right before the Griff fight, we bought all of Griff's stuff and the lady that is always next to him, sold everything to them so they had zero gold left. Once battle was done we took everything.

Did that for almost every vendor when we thought they were not part the storyline anymore.

So we get all book vendors, for we sell the paintings, buy the books, weather we need them or not(skill books that cost 250) sell whatever junk is left for their remaining gold, for when you kill them you cant get their extra gold(only way is through trade) then kill them and pick up all the paintings and high value junk we sold to them.

The two new vendors outside of the fort has really nice blue and purple items costing around 350 each. We can either instantly get all their stuff and still have over 2K gold or make a save and see if they are essential to other quests and if they are not and we need to come back when ACT 2 is up and running we have a way to have UNLIMITED(basically) money

There is a slight risk by doing it, but not that much. You kill the NPC and may not get further quests. With saves and reloading your games you can have the best of both.

Now my brother and I were arguing weather this was oversight from the game makers or was this intended. I thought it was too simple for an oversight, but because of the OP nature you become it seems like maybe it was an oversight.

To go to a vendor and be able to buy him out and make a 400 gold profit everytime is really lame. Your way out geared compared to mobs 2-3 levels above you

HOPE YOU GUYS FIX THIS. COOL an all but not balanced and fun. I know it makes sense if you kill a guy you get all his stuff, but clearly you dont want that to begin with because if you kill a vendor all his UNIQUE stuff and gold is not their for the taking.

It should really be that vendors just stock items in proportion to their security, and drop everything they carry regardless of other actions.

A lone defenseless person in the middle of nowhere probably shouldn't carry the equivalent of a small armory on them, and a shop stocked with shelves bursting with valuables should be able to afford some relevant security.

Bonus points if we get a system for merchants to sell all their posessions, I.E. the items that belong to them but are outside of their inventory.
It was incredibly cool to be able to steal from the shelves the same items a merchant sells, and see them removed from stock, in Elder Scrolls.

One more thing, if it is allowed

If you plan to do this (players) do not sell items that the vendor already sells like a potion or resurrect scroll, for you wont see any of those items when you loot their bodies.

Learned the hard way. Example Vendor had potions and resurrect scrolls for sale, we did not buy them, but sold all of ours for extra gold and thought it a no brainier that we would get it back after kill N loot phase, lost 7 resurrect scrolls and almost all our potions. Everything else we got back
