I love this game, and I'd really like to give more feedback, but I don't want to get burned out playing the exact same 8 hours of content over and over. I can't really do another play through until more is added, I'd love to help out with feedback/player opinion, but I really can't until the game gets updated. Ready, willing, wanting, but waiting.

Love you guys, see you after the update

EDIT: I don't mean more then ACT 1, I just mean updates to gameplay

You're not wrong. I stopped as well. Minor tweaks and edits are all well and good, but only the hardest of the hardcore can keep playing such a small section of the game for so long.

I am also waiting. I haven't played beyond "let me test something quickly" since September 25th. The last patch was too minor for me to bother with, and I'm going to try to not get burned out again like I did for D:OS 1.

Developing stuff and before all implementing it and getting rid of bugs takes a lot of time. We can hardly expect huge updates every month, there is still the other part of the game to develope aswell. Also it is clear, that they have to overhaul the whole skill system.

So yeah, my friend and I are waiting for significant changes aswell. smile

It does all take a long time, and I didn't post this thread as a complaint, its more intended as a note. If Larian want consistent feedback the whole way through alpha they will probably need to make sure the game moves forward at a decent pace, but constant feedback probably isn't needed at this stage anyway. I'm happy to wait until the next update to give it another whirl, but probably won't open the game till then. Looking forward to stomping fort joy again

The one thing that I am not sure what to feel about is the ability system:
Since you can permanently learn a skill if you temporarily fit the requirement (with the help of an item), all classes gain access to the early skills. Sure you won't deal as much damage with your Fireballs as a warrior, but teleporting archers right in front of your nose is much more efficient than wasting 3 AP trying to reach them by foot or give your mages / wand users access to Rage for double damage.
The 3 memory cost for higher level skills on the other hand seems rather restricitve, since that is the equivalent of 6 attribute points - especially when these skills require the use of a source point on top of it.
While the classes don't have the same number of skills atm, the Necromancer's arsenal definetly needs a second look: as cool as stuff like Mosquito Swarm sounds, dealing physical damage as a magic user sucks because of the new armor system and the other spells are all relative narrow compared to what an Aerotheurge can do.

Oh yeah - 3 memory points? What's the reasoning for that? 2 memory points seems far more ideal to me, as the skills aren't even that OP anyway.
