Hi all,

I'm looking at building a character planner for DOS2 similar to the one previously built by KANDIE for DOS. http://www.divinityplanner.cf/
I know DOS2 is still in alpha and lots of stuff will change so I'll try to update whenever possible.

Just now i'm trying to get information about how character stats are calculated. There is some information through the ingame tooltips, but is anyone aware of any formulae used?

If I reach any conclusions about how things are calculated i'll update this post so others can also see.

Accuracy -
Dodging -
Physical Armour -
Magic Armour -
Movement -
Initiative -

Keep in mind that this is an alpha so formulas will change a lot, including after the next balance patch. You'd need to keep on top of changing things.

Yea thanks Stabbey, i'm aware things will be changing pretty frequently. That being said i'm planning on using a platform that will allow me to change any background calculations very easily.

At current state there are two things about stats, at list after my observation:

First: For Stamina and Memory all points get calculated, even the 'starting base'. All other stats only take into consideration the 'additional' points you put in.

Second: The information screen shows the 'worth' per point at the current level. At level 1 for example every point into int gives you a benefit of 15%, if you reached level 8 the same point now only gives you a bonus of 2%. Stamina on the other hand gives you 17 HP per point at level 6 and 22 at level 8 if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the input Kalrakh.

I was a big fan of D:OS but was unfortunately late to discover it. I only recently finished playing it and so have not made any storyline progress with D:OS2.

It seems the algorithm used in the calculations aren't just clean cut. Especially when you start to consider stuff like duel wielding and other ability bonuses.

I'll be playing more of the game tonight and keeping a close eye on my stats as I progress :P

If I am not mistaken, the threshold for the attributebonus increases as you level up.
