Hi,

I have played the brilliant D:OS 1 but have yet to play D:OS 2, hence this suggestion might already be implemented. If so, my sincere apologies.

Lets say you were up to a boss fight in D:OS 1 and wanted a specific party composition. Then you had to travel/warp to Homestead and walk to Hall of Heroes and say goodbye to a current active member and talk to a non-active member to make him/her active in your team. Then travel/warp back to a gate and move to the initial position on the map. If you after the battle want to use the original team you have to redo everything again.

I don't see the actual value of doing this besides the RPG factor. My suggestion is similiar to the one from dragon age that you should be able to switch you active party members with those non-active from the in-game menu instantaneously. This would save time and clicks and encourage you to try out different party members and compositions.

Any thoughts?

ISTR you can do it the same way: just press F1-F4 to switch the player in question, unless I'm missing something. Which is admittedly often the case. Er anyway, I often do that even when my team is split up in entirely different areas.
