The demo was great!! I luuuuv'd it and yes I will buy the game. And now then my 5000 suggestions for improvement (joke, joke, don't worry). But there is one thing I thought was strange : the way the Imp in Fergus room walks... It's like Neil Armstrong on the moon. Pretty funny but quite unnatural. Is this the way Imps walk?

"May ants nest in your codpiece"... absolutely hilarious...but the next time I play the demo I will beat the (nocando) out of him, insulting MY deathknight like that... tsss...

As far as I can tell, yes. Imps moved like that in the first game.

To prevent a moral dilemma, think of this:

If you want to play good, you shouldn't kill Plox.

If you want to play evil:
Evil means egocentric, right? If you want experience for you and do not care about the rest, it's evil, then. If you get experence for sparing Plox, you've just commited a very evil act <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

Ok, guess I'm playing evil then => Macchiavellistic <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> => XP and rep for me, as usual.

But still... killing an imp who doesn't defend himself... who was a pet... and with very weak stats... shouldn't a baddie look for opponents instead of victims?

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" />And Pratchett once said => Greebo (the witch cat) lets defeated foes live, so he can enjoy their defeat forever. It would be no fun to kill and miss the triumph by watching your opponent live+cringe in his shame (coarse translation of the German edition)
I even let the imp live who aided the guard in his fight.

Ah, wise as always kiya <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />.
Indeed, a baddie should find worthy opponents but then there are many different baddies; attacking weaklings is work for the marauders and muggers.

^^ That's why I like Terry Pratchett; his books are often more than simplistic entertainment.

I let all the imps live: I love imps <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Think of the big picture. Saving one Imp now means a village full of friendly Imps later. What if the attitude of the whole village rests on the fate of this one Imp? Think of the XP there! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

This is how I see the good vs. evil situation:

Judgement 1: The Imp tortured people. For causing suffering he deserves to die. [color:"green"]Divine Justice = Good. [color:"red"]Revenge = Evil.

Judgement 2: The Imp was forced to torture people against his will. For non having such intensions himself, he should be spared. [color:"green"]Forgiveness = Good. For not standing up to his opressors, he should be weeded out of the evolutionary cycle. [color:"red"]Enforced Darwinism = Evil.

Judgement 3: The Imp knows about Samuel and may prove a useful ally. [color:"green"]Befriending = Good. [color:"red"]Using for personal gain = Evil.

Judgement 4: The Imp makes for good combat training. [color:"red"]Manslaughter = Evil.

Judgement 5: The Imp has nice boots. [color:"red"]Armed Robbery = Evil.

Judgement 6: The Imp is a living creature. He should be alowed to live whatever his ideals. [color:"green"]Acceptance = Good. Let's kill it! [color:"red"]Destruction = Evil.

That's how I see it. Any other Judgements on poor Ploxy?

Oh, I love those discussions.
Despite my skull icon, I believe in the ultimate ballance of things. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alien.gif" alt="" />

An addition:
Quote
Judgement 4: The Imp makes for good combat training. Manslaughter = Evil.

Aha, but you said "Good"!

Quote
Judgement 5: The Imp has nice boots. Armed Robbery = Evil.

But if not for you, someone would've taken it away in a more violent way.
[color:"green"] Euthanasia = Good

The imp is a 3d model with a piece of code in it. [color:"red"] Destruction of art = evil . But computers are EVIL! [color:"green"] Smythe of the unholly = good

From a pure egocentric view one could say that it is not in your interest to use your weapon on the skull of this Imp. Given the fact that it will wear down your "durability", this is to avoid at all costs because there is little chance you will already have wasted skillpoints on the repair skill at this stage of the game. Rationalize, rationalize...the only solution here!

PS : I still think they walk quite funny...They must have had lessons from John Cleese as employee of the Ministry of Funny Walks (Monthy Python). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
