Leadership sounds interesting, it does. But its very limiting and encourages everyone to stack, which in a game like this isnt usually a good option as AOE will decimate you. It might be great in an all melee party, but with range its effectiveness drops off significantly.

Making the skill from 5m to party wide feels right. I mean do you really feel like you have to be in spitting distance of someone to be inspired by them?

Please change leadership to not be limited by range.

The solution to a poor AoE is indeed probably to increase the AoE. I think 10 to 15 meters should do.

The range limitation is what balances it and also what makes it interesting. +25% resist and dodge is a huge bonus for three party members for only 5 points. No other abilities would come even close to that effect if you didn't even have to care about positioning. That was the problem with leadership before: it was a no brainer.

5m is a little short, though. 7-8m would feel better, where you can be just out of AOE range for several skills. Maybe even something like you get half the effect at up to 15m range, but I'm not sure that's even necessary.

I also think it would be more fun if it had some offensive quality too, and would make its effect feel even more active and tactical, rather than a passive defense. Maybe +4% dodge, all resists, and damage per point? Might be pushing it with the range buff, though.

Speaking of Leadership, I believe it should be a combat ability, not civil.

Having issues with the ability in general. On one of my profiles, I have 3 people playing and a companion. Everyone gets the leadership ability buff. However, on an alternate profile/game, I'm playing with one other person. He controls one companion and I control the other (who has the leadership buff). Only I receive the leadership buff and my friend and his companion do not. Any ideas on how to fix that?

Note: It works when i reassign characters but I shouldn't have to group people with the "leader" for everyone to receive the buff since we are all in fact on the "same team"....

Agreed. Current version is better, it is powerful and need to thing about advantages and drawbacks. Argument that current combat is AOE-teleport only is other discussion.

I have different issue with this skill. It adds combat bonuses others but not itself. So the best choice is someone who dont need combat stats, so a mage ?

That is my issue. Best combat leader is a mage because he dont need the dodge buff from the skill ? That should be fixed.

However dont know how. Aura of leadership should add others something different than for the leader. British squad leaders in WW2 walked straight on the battlefield to encourage man. Maby leader is fearless (fear immunity), more resilient (HP bonus) , in case of final dead hit he could re-roll to be get the chance to go another step, mabz his firs attack in a battle auto-crit, some other bonus, maby leader gets one bonus per level, so finally he gets 5 bonuses? That would be interesting for warriors. Now, leadership is for mage to buff his meat shield. e.g. current version should be removed from pre-configured class knight.
