I'm trying a solo Glass Cannon Inquisitor (suggested by @baardvark here) and it is a lot of fun. I die a lot but it is the best combo I've tried yet.

One problem I have is fear. ATM there seems to be no immunity and rather than run away (as it says on the tin) my character blunders about, if possible runs over any harmful surfaces and then hides inconsequentially in a corner with her back to the action.

This is quite funny actually but whereas you can find gloves/armour etc which will give you immunity to stun/burning/frozen/petrified with fear you are stuffed I think.

In last DOS you could get a talent Courageous which made you immune to fear at the expense of fleeing combat (or there were various other ways)

That or something else to counter fear would be very helpful. Either that or fear actually made you run away not wander around like a drugged up fool and kill yourself.

Hmmm... maybe the Encouraged skill should clear the Fear status?

I know Encourages is currently the worst racial skill IMO (yes, I honestly think the Lizardmen get an undeserved rep)... Mind you I like Encourage.

But I wonder if that would make it too potent...

I mean... In Divinity Original Sin I sometimes forgot fear existed because of how many ways the game gave you immunity to it.

Encouraged is the second-best Racial skill, well ahead of the single-target, single-turn petrify the Dwarves get and miles ahead of the pathetic tickling flame the Lizards get, which is little more use than a candle.

In D:OS1 rank 5 and 6 leadership gave a fear immunity aura to everyone except the character with the trait. Unfortunately leadership was so incredibly strong that it almost was mandatory for every party to have a character with at least 3 to 4 points in that ability. To avoid changing the current leadership further there could perhaps be a talent that provides fear immunity in a relatively small area around the character.

Alternatively it could be made into a separate ability. I don't think locking fear immunity behind a racial skill (Encourage) is a good idea. Certain racial skills being better than others is definitely an issue, but I don't think that the abilities should be balanced around providing unique effects that cannot be obtained through other means.
Maybe Larian could create a similar ability that cancels fear and gives fear immunity for one or two turns alongside a small movement bonus. The ability could be called Inspire, Hearten, Motivate or something else.

Can't think of anything to cure fear or offers resistances, though I do think I saw an item grant immunity to it. Maybe bless does, though don't think that confers resistance. Does the Rested status (offered by first aid) give you immunity to fear? Can't remember if Magic Shell does either.

Could be interesting if Rage granted fear immunity. With how dangerous the skill is to use now, it could possibly have one more advantage.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the build, though I would say it's quite a dangerous and possibly ineffective build for certain encounters and especially solo play. But it's fun, that doesn't matter.

I kind of disagree. ATM doing a solo inquisitor run everything (unless a skill) misses 100% of the time (because I go blind all the time - I am GC). This is an annoying bug but currently you have to live with it. I thought a while to go Lizard or Elf and decided Lizard because of that. Having a +1 would not help at all.

The game isn't giving me any stun immunity yet but I have more patience than my computer. Assuming there is no new build I WILL wait for those gloves and I WILL therefore be able to finish it.

Unless one of Dallis' pets scares me and makes me hide in a corner that is.

I have a feeling it will take me a whole week which is OK for me. Only on day 3 IRL at the moment.
