So... reasonably unless I am missing a trick (which is likely) you can get off the island at around level 3... Level 2 might be stretching it but I think it is doable.

And at most you can get off at level 8 if you absolutely do everything.

How the world is the next act going to work with that range? I mean I guess there could be an extra area and missions for people who take the faster route...

Or I also guess this could feature level scaling.

I'm personally hoping there's an ambush that'll really punish anyone who isn't at least level 6.

Hmmm... Don't you need to beat Alexander and the Worm at the end before you're allowed to use the boat? Or are you saying you can sneak to the boat and escape without fighting?

They could always chain the boat up with a magic padlock and have Alexander drop the key.

No, that is just one way off the island.

The earliest you unlock inside the fortress (that I am aware of) to admit, I didn't do it so for all I know it crashes or just goes to another part of the island.

Are you talking about the little boy and his boat? He doesn't leed you from the island, only out of the prison.

Yeah sorry guys... When the creators said there are many ways to get out of the prison... I was counting the entire island

Mostly because... well... Typically that is what you mean when your on a prison island :P

It's a prison island in that you wouldn't want to be on any of it thanks to King Braccus' former shenanigans, but the prison camp only occupies around the western quarter of the island (or southwestern, I still haven't quite got to grips with the compass direction).

I don't want to say it is impossible as it probably isn't but while you can get to the last fight at level 2 they are all level 8 or 9 and you can't beat them.

To be clear though you can leave the prison with (minimum I could do) XP 240. When you get to the marshes you get another XP 3200 which takes you to level 2.

You can kill the shriekers with the help of Slane (for 0 XP) but then there you are - level 2 but with no hope. Even if you managed to find a tactical retreat scroll I don't think you could even pick one of them off. And if you did you would immediately level up anyway so your fear is I believe unfounded.

I'll try ('cos it is fun) but I doubt you can get off the Island before level 4.

I've no experience of doing in real life so can't comment on that.

North is up, we leave in the top right corner so the camp is in the bottom south left hand side.

West is the hand you wear your watch on. Unless you are left handed I guess.

Escaping the prison and escaping the island are obviously two different stories. This is not Alcatraz. ^^

I seem to recall the directions to be rather inconsistent which is why I commented. For whatever reason, I also understood the map to be at 45⁰ to the compass axes so I think the camp is broadly in the south-west.
