ok this is my question. when i tried to kill the Demon of Lies in the end with magic the game never went to a cutscene and just froze. if i update my game to the 1.34 version, will i be able to use magic on the Demon and have it not freeze?

Depends on what magic you used. After the patch it should be fine.

Mind you, if you used any scorpions as well as magic, the same thing will happen. Do not have any help from them.

no one has told me if i can use spells on the Demon of Lies. can i or can i not?

To answer your question - In my opinion you can use any magic on the demon of lies, however magic involving summoning or the scorpions will fail, I think, if it is not yourself, that is delivering the final blow - then the game hangs, and can't finish, because YOU did not kill the demon of lies!

ok now i understand why.

I've just finished the game and I've killed the Demon summoning 15 or 16 Steel Scorpions to help me. I haven't touch the demon anyway, the dirty work have been done by my Scorpions and the game doesn't freeze at all.

I was really disappointed for this kind of end, the final cinematic were really poor without any satisfaction imho.

By the way, my version is 1.34
