I heard that Dennis isn't someone who is further in the game that you can kill her in act 1...

Where the world is this? I mean... I guess that is surprising because she is set up as a long term bad guy.

Yet at the same time Dennis is a LAAAAAAAAME villain. When your henchmen are more intimidating, interesting, and cool then you... Maaaaaybe go back to the drawing board. Not to mention she is really one dimensional and her story is all over the place and not thought through.

Maybe I killed her and didn't notice...

Who is Dennis? Do you mean Dallis? If so I don't think you kill her - she runs away if her health gets to zero.

There is only once chance to fight her in Act 1, if you are talking auf Dallis.

On the front of the prison entrance if you skip the cut scene and enter over a backdoor of the wall.

Also you can only fight her, if you never left the fort, because the scene stays only frozen until then. The escape of her is pretty flashy, so I'm sure you would remember anyway.

I suppose you are talking about Dallis, the human female with a two-handed hammer that eat the soul of Magister Atusa in front of Fort Joy's gate from the beach you start on.

If you find her henchmen more intimidating, interesting and cool then her, it means you haven't won against her in combat.

Read the following spoiler at your own discretion.

She's a freaking Dragon who can lay down flat your entire party in a single swing of her hammer when she is in human form. Appearances can be deceiving. If you manage to best her human form in combat in fort Joy, she changes to her Dragon form and fly away with Alexander, letting you know that she'll eventually eat your face with her giant necro-dragon fangs.
