My party composition:
- Dwarf Warrior using a 2 hander with 1 Warfare, 1 Scoundrel, 5 Two-Handed
- Elf Ranger using a Crossbow with 3 Ranged, 2 Huntsman, 1 Scoundrel
- Human Wizard using dual wands with 2 Geomancer, 3 Pyrokinetic
- Lizard Cleric using sword and board with 2 Aerotheurge, 2 Hydrosophist, 2 Warfare

The strategy:
Step 1. Open on Alexander with a sneak Snipe from the Ranger, shaving off 120 armor with a crit.
Step 2. Keep Dallis behind the gate as well as one of the hammer's pet while letting Alexander close in.
Step 3. Shoot a Static cloud or leave an electrified puddle on the gate.
Step 4. All in Alexander with the Warrior using Rage, Adrenaline to remove Alexander Physical Armor in one go.
Step 5. Battle Stomp him with the Cleric to keep him out of the fight.
Step 6. Bash on Alexander with Ranger and Warrior until Dallis decide to retreat with him.
Step 7. Clean up the trash that calls themselves magisters.
Step 8. Profit

For those who do not know, you can avoid the cutscene with Magister Atusa at the start by using a ladder near the cutscene and gain access to Fort Joy. So long as you do not enter the marsh, Dallis and Alexander stays there. You can then come back to give them a good whooping and show them who's the boss.

P.S. To the devs, I find Dallis' hammer to be way too low in stats/damage for how much you need to invest into getting it. Could we see it being bumped up a little to something that is equivalent to what you would at least find toward the middle or end of the marsh area? Currently, my two-handed sword I used to fight Dallis is stronger than Dallis' Hammer.

Edit: Btw, both Alexander and Dallis could one shot any of my characters with most of their attacks. Alexander's Battlestomp could kill my Ranger or Wizard outright while leaving my Warrior or Cleric low health and knocked down. Dallis would just one shot anything if given the chance to attack.
It took me a lot of reloads to get the right strategy that would keep Dallis away and could crush Alexander Physical Armor in one round as well as CCing him. But once that part was done, the rest was a piece of cake.

Note to the dev: Dallis' Hammer either didn't drop or dropped under the ground. Last time I beat Dallis (The first post) the hammer was barely visible and could only be seen from a certain angle and was otherwise unlootable.

The hammer doesn't always drop - half the time I'd say. You can always reload but it is quite weak anyway.

If the drop rate isn't 100%, it's pretty lame. frown

Yeah, not sure why a unique wouldn't have a 100% drop rate. At best, I could see getting a unique guaranteed in certain situations, but not a particular one (e.g., a box of treasure that might drop a unique belt or a unique ring.)

Actually I meant the hammer is pretty lame. It is only level 5 so you'll probably not want to use it for long (if at all) as most likely you'll be level 5 or 6 at this point anyway.

Why it only drops sometimes drops I don't know. Usually when you get either Dallis or Alexander to zero HP they fly away. Sometimes she drops the hammer sometimes not. If you reload to just before the final shot that takes them to zero you can repeat this until the hammer is dropped.

I have had Dallis go to zero and just carry on fighting indefinitely though. Each turn she would regenerate a little HP through some unknown mechanism, not healing, not necro. After getting her to zero about 20 times I gave up and left the fort as that gets rid of her but without the XP for her flying away.

And once again, this time with a Quadra Elf pure Mage team.
It actually was the easiest Dallis fight I had, mostly because skill books are dirt cheap now.
I didn't use Warfare's Rage either.
Alexander was dead after only half a turn, I still had plenty of crap I could of thrown at him before the end of the turn.

We killed Dallis last night with a Warrior/Mage/Rogue/Ranger party. We had to cheese the hell out of the fight though by blocking off access to the upper deck with crates/barrels.
